Hart Gilchrist
Vice President of Business Development & External Affairs
Hart is the Vice President of Safety, Process Improvement, and Operations Systems for the MDU Utilities Group. He is responsible for all safety and training, pipeline safety management system (SMS), quality management
system (QMS), and operations technology for the MDU Utilities Group, which serves over 1 million customers across eight states.

He has been with the company since 1994.
He earned his bachelor’s degrees in finance and marketing from the University of Idaho in 1994 and an MBA from Boise State University in 2002. He is also active in his community.
He serves on the Gas Technology Institute Operations Technology Committee Board of Directors, the Boise Chamber of Commerce advisory board, the Boise State University College of Business and Economics advisory board, and the Visit Boise Board of Directors.
Alyn Spector
External Affairs Manager
Alyn Spector is an energy industry professional with twenty years of experience at the intersection of energy policy and sustainability. He serves as external affairs manager for Cascade Natural Gas. He has been a key player in the company’s efforts to adapt to the rapidly evolving landscape faced by utilities in the Northwest.

In 2023, he received the Montana-Dakota Utilities Group Environmental Sustainability Award for championing the natural gas business’s role in decarbonizing.
