As we are all aware, commercial real estate is joined at the hip with the residential market. We are fortunate along the coast of South Carolina to have a fairly stable residential market. Inventories have risen but there has been very little decline to market price as compared to the national market. Time on the market has certainly increased but sellers seem to have some patience. As the residential market picks up we should see an increase in commercial activity particularly in land and retail projects in the coastal communities.
